The C SUB family of subwoofers are extremely high-powered, offering high efficiency and impressive low bass performance. They are optimised for use with the CONTOUR X point sound sources and the COSMO line arrays, with components and workmanship that meet the same high standards.
Flexibility
The C SUB subwoofers offer a total of four Speakon NL4 connectors (two at the rear and two at the front for easy cabling, for example in Cardioid or Endfire setups). The desired signal from a four-wire cable can be assigned to a C SUB using the pin assignment switch.
Both the CS 118 and the CS 218 are perfectly matched in their frequency and phase response, as well as in their cabinet dimensions. This makes it possible to effortlessly combine them to form perfectly tuned clusters.
Mechanics
The birch multiplex cabinets are PU-coated, while the solid steel front grilles are treated with an anti-corrosive finish. The Speakon connection sockets are protected against the ingress of dirt and moisture by sealing caps. All in all, the C SUBs offer all the prerequisites for high value retention and long, uninterrupted operation in the rough everyday conditions of professional users.

We recommend the high-performance Lab.Gruppen PLM+ or Powersoft X series power amps for use with these high-power subwoofers. Optimised filter settings are also available for these controller amps for creating Cardioid or Endfire arrangements.
CS 118
The C SUB CS 118 is a compact, direct radiating 1Â x 18″ subwoofer, the ideal low-end addition to the COSMO line array and the CONTOUR X point sound sources. The high efficiency and extremely high power handling capacity provide an extraordinarily large dynamic headroom down to the lowest frequencies. The total of four Speakon NL4 connectors are fully through-connected, and the pin assignment switch can be used to assign the CS 118 to one of the two speaker paths. There are two Speakon NL4 connectors at the back and two at the front, making the cabling of cardioid setups quicker and easier to implement.

CS 218
The C SUB CS 218 is a compact, direct radiating 2Â x 18″ subwoofer, the ideal low-end addition to the COSMO line array and the CONTOUR X point sound sources. The CS 218 and CS 118 subwoofers are the perfect match acoustically, in their phase and in their cabinet dimensions and can thus be easily combined to form perfectly tuned sub-clusters. As with the smaller CS 118, the dimensions are based on the standardised pallet or truck dimensions.

CF 118
The compact, direct-radiating, high-performance 1×18″ subwoofer with COSMO’s modular dimensions of 60 cm is the flyable version of the CS 118 subwoofer. Its high efficiency and extremely high power handling capacity provide an extraordinarily large dynamic headroom down to the lowest frequencies. It is ideal for all applications where there is no room for placing bass enclosures and is also suitable for ground-stack setups with COSMO or CONTOUR X components.
Compared to other subwoofers in its power range, there are considerably fewer components covering the full spectrum of what users need and expect from an FoH system. This extends the operating periods of each component compared to other system families. For the CF 118 we provide ready-to-use filter sets for Lab.Gruppen PLM+ or Powersoft X power amplifiers. Optimised filter settings make it possible to quickly set up Cardioid or Endfire arrangements, among others.
The uniform dimensions of the COSMO family simplify both storage and disposition, which has a positive impact on the warehousing in total. The simple handling results in enormous time savings, as well as reduced training requirements. An existing system can be expanded precisely as needed, all of which means an even more effective investment protection than usual is ensured. The expansion in small steps creates a much lower investment requirement.
